CMC TEXPAN PRESENTS LYNX, AN EFFECTIVE SOLUTION FOR DETECTING AND REMOVING CONTAMINANTS FROM WOOD PARTICLES.

Meeting sustainability requirements is an aspect becoming increasingly important in the production of wood-based panels. At the same time, ensuring an excellent quality of finished products is a top priority, especially when talking about wood recycling.

Since the processed material contains contaminants of different type, achieving an effective cleaning of recycled wood plays a primary role in the preparation of the raw material.

CMC TEXPAN has recently developed LYNX, an innovative solution for the detection of contaminants and their removal from the milled particle flow used to produce wood-based panels.

The machine is compact; it is based on SWIR spectroscopy (which is an evolution of NIR system) and it is specially designed for the removal of contaminants such as plastics, foam, silicone, and polystyrene. It may be equipped with optional accessories to detect particles according to their color, or with an X-ray system to improve the efficiency of the machine and to detect and remove materials with higher density, such as ferrous and non-ferrous metals, aluminium, copper, lead, various alloys etc.

In this way, the LYNX equipment proves itself to be suitable also for applications in sectors other than the woodworking industry.

CMC TEXPAN specialists are at complete disposal to provide additional information and are ready to answer any questions from interested parties.
